Text — John 5:31-39
Message
The scriptures are the words of God, they give light to those in darkness and provide solution to every need of man. A song writer wrote thus: “Thy Word is a lamp to my feet, A light to my path always. To guide and to save me from sin, And show me the heavenly way. Thy word have I hid in my heart. That I might not sin against Thee.” Another word for the scriptures is the Bible which is also referred to as the sword of the Spirit. In these scriptures dwell all the things you need for your life and growth.
Therefore, you need to spend quality time to study it, read daily and make sure that you read to a point that the devil cannot deceive you because you will have a word to use to rebuke him. If you have not yet started reading the Bible, you can begin today by following the further reading in this Sincere Milk as they are passages of the Bible written for your spiritual growth and development.
