Memory Verse
“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” John 4:34
Text: John 4:31-34.
Jeff usually went out with his Father who was a pastor to preach the gospel in their neighbourhood. One day, it was raining heavily, Jeff prepared his rain coat and called on his Dad for them to go out for evangelism. His Dad called his attention to the fact that it was raining heavily. Jeff listened to his father’s excuse and thereafter asked him a question, “Can people go to hell on a rainy day?” The father stood speechless. Nevertheless, Jeff set out with his tracts to the neighborhood and the first place he went was the residence of a woman who was about to commit suicide. He pressed the bell repeatedly. Eventually, the woman opened the door and found a little boy beaming with smile. He handed her the tract and left. The woman read and gave her life to Jesus. She later gave a testimony about the little angel that saved her from untimely death and going to hell. Jeff understood his mission and faithfully carried it out.
A mission is a task that fulfills a purpose or duty; an assignment set by an employer or by oneself is your mission. As a friend of Jesus, your Mission on earth is to preach the gospel everywhere, every day, and every time. You can send text messages, give tracts to your classmates, and preach to your peers during the break period in school. Remember, your mission is to win souls for Christ. As you do this, great will be your reward in heaven.
