Message
A military parade has been described by Wikipedia as a formation of soldiers whose movement is restricted by close-order maneuvering known as drilling or marching. Have you watched soldiers on parade before? You would observe or hear some kind of rhythm in their march. Rhythm is a regular beat occurring at an equal interval of time. The rhythm that gives a sort of melody is possible because every soldier follows the step of the commander leading the march.
The end result is always a beautiful march. Jesus is the Captain of the believers’ salvation. He is the Commander-in-Chief of His army. The soldiers in the analogy above were able to finish well because they followed the footsteps of their commander. In the same vein, every Christian that desires to finish well on earth must follow the footsteps of Jesus. Walking as Jesus walked means daily living a life of love, holiness, prayerfulness, watchfulness, evangelism, and fellowship with saints. How do you live in your school and community? Are you living a life that glorifies God?
