“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).Text — 2 Timothy 2:15-18
The seed and labor of today prepare you and your future. The people you count as excellent today got there through hard work. The challenge of the lazy youths is failure to act on time to improve their education through diligent study. They waste precious time. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook fame had a private tutor in addition to his school tutors. David used his leisure time while caring for his father’s sheep to train on his musical instrument. He was first introduced to King Saul for his musical skills.
A diligent study for good grades prevents later pains of failure. As a student or trainee be very observant anywhere you may be. Take advantage of open doors. If you don’t have the resources to acquire skills, look out for people of goodwill – your neighbors and relatives with computer, tailoring, and other skills are enough assets you can tap from. Do not study only to pass the immediate examination but study to master the subjects. Also, develop the right attitude towards daily devotional books. They are meant for your personal development.
