Memory Verse
“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24: 37
Text: Matthew 24:35-39
The phrase “time will tell” means that the truth or correctness of something being argued will soon be known at some time in the future. Majority of the people in Noah’s time lived in sin and disobedience. They seemed to be “enjoying” life. Noah and his family, just eight of them out of the multitude in the world then, seemed to be “foolish” by obeying God’s instruction. But, as time passed, it became clear that they were right by obeying the word of God and those who seemed to be “right” by being disobedient perished and died in the flood.
Do not yield to temptations. Don’t give in to pressure, don’t allow the jesting from sinners and even from those who say they are friends of Jesus make you to stop believing and obeying the word of God. In a short while, you would be proven to be right and wise, if you continue to obey the word of God.
Time will tell, that it pays to live in obedience to the word of God and that it is foolishness to reject salvation. In no time from now, it will be clear to all that it pays to serve Jesus. What would your experience be at the end of time? Regret or joy? Make up your mind today to live each day in obedience to God. Pray and ask God to help you.
