Time For Soberness And Prayer

Text — 1 Peter 4:7-11
Message
Soberness is the state of being serious and calm, while prayer is a solemn request for help or expression of thanks to God. TAAhe world today is characterized by a lot of anti-God activities which include drunkenness, fighting, immoral acts, occultism, hatred, senseless killings, stealing etc. Our text encourages us to be sober and to demonstrate the nature of God, which is love. Through love, we care for one another. Before you can have the love of God, you have to be born of God. It is after this, that you can have the passion for prayer and intercession for your family, nation and all people in general.
Beloved, do you know why it is time for soberness and prayers? Our text says that the end of all things is at hand! The signs of the end prophesied by our Saviour in Matthew 24:4-14, are happening right before our eyes. If you are already a child of God, pray and become fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
