Key Verse
“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6).
Text —Acts 16:25-27
Message
In our daily lives, there are bound to be times we are faced with challenges, needs, misrepresentations, delayed expectations, etc. Such was the case of a brother who left his employment but his employer refused paying him his due benefits. After a few months of waiting and committing it to God in prayers, he was finally paid. Prayer is a spiritual exercise that births supernatural results. No mountain is too big to take to God in prayers. When we breathe in prayers, we breathe out power. Prayer draws us closer to God.
Paul and Silas suffered persecution and were imprisoned but they prayed. The order of their prayers as seen in our text is: i. At midnight – engage in night prayers ii. Paul and Silas – engage in corporate prayers iii. Prayed – make your requests known, not complaints iv. Sang praises – by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your request known to God v. Unto God – when we pray, we pray to the Almighty, not to man or any other deity. Paul and Silas had answers to their prayers.
