Wednesday, May 21, 2025Key Verse
“Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy” (James 5: 11).
Text —James 5:7-18
Message
Patience is a great virtue that is often not found among the young ones especially in this generation. While our Lord Jesus Christ was talking to His disciples about the heralds of His coming, He said at some point in Luke 21: 19, “In your patience possess ye your souls.” He had said this because He knew that impatience would characterize the days before His Second Coming. He knew very well that the impatient heart would lose its bearing and miss heaven if care is not taken.
Like Job was patient, we are expected to be patient in every area of our lives as young people but most importantly, patient in possessing Christian experiences personally. Again, we must be patient in suffering for righteous courses; patient in expectations; patient in learning, personal development and growth processes; patient in healing and recovery process; patient in prayers and waiting for answers; and patient in relationship with people of same or different age, gender, colour or status. You can possess the virtue of patience when you are saved as a component of the fruit of the Spirit.
