Message
Dr. David Yongi Cho of the famous Yoido Full Gospel Church in South Korea, narrated in one of his books, the touching story of a Christian mother who became heartbroken for her wayward daughter. The young lady had left home for the unknown, living a careless life. Pastor Cho prayed with this mother for the daughter’s return. Instead of bitterness, she was counselled to pray and express love towards her. Not long after that, the lady returned, truly penitent and she was received by the mother with joy.
The woman in our Bible text who found her lost piece of silver rejoiced with her friends and neighbours. Jesus died on the cross in pursuit of lost sinners. He declared, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). Receiving His gift of salvation brings joy in heaven and on earth. Dear friend, Jesus loves you. Confess your sins to Him and He will forgive you and receive you to Himself. Heaven and earth will rejoice over you, and eternity with Christ will be your reward.
