The King’s Hand Dried Up

Key Verse

“And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.” 1 Kings 13:4

Text — 1 Kings 13:1-5

Message

Christians are the apple of God’s eyes. Whosoever dares to touch a child of God touches the apple of the eye of the Lord! God is always interested in defending His children. The young prophet had been sent by God to prophesy against the evil altar in the land and that a young king by name Josiah would soon emerge to set things aright.

On hearing this, the king – Jeroboam stretched forth his hand to attack the man of God. Immediately, his hand dried up. Irrespective of the evil in the land, the Lord will defend and preserve His children. At every point in time, God will render the power of the enemy useless. Praise God for the assurance of victory. However, this can only be enjoyed by those who are truly born again. Have you given your life to Jesus? If not, why not NOW!!! As you take the step of faith and surrender your life to Jesus, you are assured of His divine protection at all times.
