Memory Verse

“I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.” Genesis 9:13

Text: Genesis 9:8-16

A rainbow is the display of visible colours in the sky sometimes after a rainfall. The rainbow was a sign of covenant God made with Noah that He will not destroy the earth again with flood.
God told Noah to prepare an ark because He was going to destroy the world with flood. The people of the world did not believe that God could do that. Therefore, they continued in their wicked acts until the flood came and wiped them off the earth. Noah and his family alone were saved because they believed God’s word.
After the flood, the Lord set up the rainbow in the sky as a sign of His covenant with Noah. Today the word of God is His covenant that He has made with everyone on earth. Through His word, we learn that judgment is coming and this world will be destroyed with fire (2 Peter 3:10-12). The only means of escape for anyone who wills, is Jesus Christ. He is the Ark of Salvation and Refuge from judgment. Do not wait till it is too late.
Follow the example of Noah by running into the Ark of Salvation. Repent, confess and turn away from all sins. Ask for pardon and cleansing of your sins with the blood of Jesus. Ask Jesus to come into your life to be your personal Saviour and Lord. As you genuinely take these steps, you will be saved from the coming judgment. There are also covenant promises for you to enjoy on a daily basis.
