Memory Verse
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep” (Proverbs 6:6, 9)
Text: Proverbs 6:6-11.
Proper learning and acting wisely remain the primary focus of worthwhile education. The Bible says, “By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through (Ecclesiastes 10:18). The above quote and our text of today clearly point to the need for wisdom and diligence for all. The unlikely teacher we are sent to for this education is the ant. The lessons from the ant include: self-motivation, foresight, hard work, determination, team work and unity.
Any person who wants to make his mark in the world must shun laziness, get godly wisdom, be self-motivated in pursuit of progress, team up with others to meet community needs, and have foresight to secure the future. We can learn these lessons from the little ant. Dear friend, diligence and determination are paramount in achieving success (Proverbs13:4). Since no obstacle is impossible for the ant to overcome, no Christian youth, the crown of God’s creation, should drop out of school due to failure. You can make it. Are you a sinner? Invite Christ into your life today for your breakthroughs.
