Key Verse
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep” (Proverbs 6:6,9)
Text — : Proverbs 6:6-11
Message
The significance of learning properly and acting wisely remains the primary focus of worthwhile education. The holy Book says, “By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through” (Ecclesiastes 10:18). Our text, Proverbs 6:6-11 and Ecclesiastes 10:18 clearly point us to an unusual teacher, the ant for us to learn valuable lessons and perform some tasks that would impact Christian youths in all generations. We learn from the ant the virtues of: self-motivation, foresight, hard work, determination, team work and unity.
If we heed the lessons of the ant, there would be no laziness; we would progress and prosper without leadership problems. We would attain self-sufficiency at difficult times and be adequately prepared for every examination, both academically and spiritually. Since no obstacle is impossible for the ant to surmount, Christians, as the crown of God’s creation, must avoid mediocrity and push for excellence at all times to the glory of God. Invite Christ into your life today for the enabling grace to excel.
