“Tell Your Friends The Truth”

Key Verse

“So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.” 1 Kings 22:29

Text — 1Kings 22:27-29

Message

Our Bible passage speaks about two friends, they were kings. One went to visit the other. Ahab asked his friend Jehoshaphat to go with him to fight the people of Syria. All the prophets of Ahab said that he should go and that he would win the battle. But Jehoshaphat did not believe them. He wanted to hear from the true prophet of God. Micaiah the prophet, was called. He told Ahab that he would die in the battle.

Friends should be bold enough to tell their friends the truth. Jehoshaphat would have saved the life of his friend, Ahab, and that of other “innocent” Israelites if he had the courage to tell his friend the truth he heard from God’s prophet. He should have warned his friend and asked him to obey God. May be God permitted them to meet so that Jehoshaphat could help Ahab. Do you have friends? Tell them the truth and save their lives. One of the most important truth you must tell your friends is the truth of the love of Jesus to them. Tell them today so that your friends will not die and go to hell.
