“For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb” (Luke 1:15)Text — Luke 1:14-16
According to National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, approximately 5,000 young people under the age of 21 die as a result of consumption of alcoholic drinks. Some other get dropped out of school as a result of uncontrolled appetite and they see their hope of achieving their dreams in life dashed. Despite the grave consequences of the consumption of alcohol and the instruction of the Scripture which forbids its intake, so many youths have gone to eternal damnation unprepared. We are kings and princes in the kingdom of God and the Scripture warns that“it is not for kings… to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted” (Proverbs 31:4, 5).
Some youths give so many excuses for the intake of alcohol. Some say they have so much trouble and need to take alcohol to forget their sorrows. It only adds more sorrows to man and if unrepented of can lead to hell. Repent and turn to the Lord now, for full deliverance.
It only adds more sorrows
Alcohol is dangerous to human health
