Key Verse
“And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand” (Genesis 39:7,8).

Message
On October 7, 2019, The BBC broadcast a report by its undercover journalists posing as students inside two universities in West Africa. The female reporters were sexually harassed, propositioned and put under pressure by senior lecturers at the institutions who were not aware that the girls were wearing secret cameras. The problem of sexual harassment is real although, for every known case, many more go unreported.
In the case of Joseph, it was his master’s wife that put him under pressure to commit immorality with her. This was not a once and for all proposition; it was unrelenting (Genesis 39:10). One day, she found herself alone in the house with Joseph and she tried raping the young man. He managed to escape from her clutches. She felt embarrassed and turned the story around that Joseph was the rapist. In spite of everything she did, Joseph was true to his spiritual convictions. He did not disappoint God or the confidence his master had in him.
As shown in the BBC report, many young people, particularly females, face a lot of pressure from people in positions of power, to commit immorality. Such individuals use their privileged position to make ungodly demands on their subordinates or students. God who helped Joseph to stand firm will help you also to stand. If you are placed in a position of authority, you must never use your position to sexually harass anybody.
To remain pure like Joseph, live right as a child of God, do your quiet time every day and be diligent, as mediocrity can cause you to compromise your faith. Also learn to always meditate on the word of God and make sure that, as much as possible, you avoid any secret liaison with people who could tempt you to do evil.

Dare to be another Joseph!

Thank God for this word of wisdom.
The table had since turned: women have made men vulnerable to sexual advances by their brazen senseless, near nude dresses and “eyes full of adultery”. The protection is: find “grace in the eyes of the Lord” like Joseph. It’s only grace of GOD that can make you live soberly, righteous, and godly IN THIS PRESENT WORLD: “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world” Titus 2:11-12
