Key Verse
“With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.” Psalm 119:10
Text — Psalm 119:9-16
Message
John lost his pen on the way to school, but he did not know. When it was time to write, he tried to bring out the pen from his bag but the pen was nowhere to be found. He searched the bag, his pocket and looked everywhere, but the pen was not found. Then he ran out of the classroom to check the road to see if the pen dropped on the way, but he did not see it. Then he ran home to look for the pen; immediately he entered the sitting room, he saw the pen on the dining table. He was very happy to have found the pen.
Seeking God with the whole heart demands commitments, consecrations and diligence. Seeking God means seeking to do His will, and to please Him always. God has special interest and love for children who seek Him. Just like John sought for his pen and finally found it, all those who seek for God will surely find Him and enjoy untold benefits. Seeking God begins with salvation as you bring your heart to Jesus Christ for cleansing.
Seeking God also demands: (i) sincere desire to learn and obey God’s word through reading, memorizing and meditating on His word. (ii) Attending fellowship regularly. (iii) Giving yourself to prayers and holy living.
