Message
Samson was born in the village of Zorah, into the family of Manoah. He was born after many years of his mother’s bareness. He was ordained, anointed and empowered from the womb by God “… to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines” (Judges 13:5). However, Samson misused his rare gift by careless living by dabbling into immorality, and disobedience to God and his parents. Samson’s love for strange women led him to Delilah, the Philistine, who through her wiles made Samson to reveal the source of his power which was his seven hair locks that had never been shaven. The locks were promptly cut while he slept on Delilah’s laps and lost his strength. His eyes were removed by his enemies and he was greatly tormented.
Youth who are saved and gifted to become deliverers of their enslaved generation must avoid Samson’s pitfall, be watchful and obedient to their godly parents, both biological and spiritual. They should be entirely consecrated to God. Dear friend, have you fallen like Samson? Then repent today and be restored.
