“Put It Far Away”

Text — Job 11:13-15
Message
The stench from the nearby refuse dump did not allow anybody in the community to sleep well at night. Wherever they turned their noses the bad smell kept coming on strong. It was a great relief, therefore, when the Local Government decided to relocate the dump site and put it very far away from the community. The common practice is that, filth and dirt are always kept far away from the house. This is because when our surrounding is dirty and we do not rise quickly and tidy it up, it will bring infections and sicknesses to us.
We are commanded to do the same thing spiritually. The sinful actions of children are offensive to God and will bring God’s punishment on all. With your heart you think about wrong doings and with your hand you do it. God’s mercy will only come on you if you put far away your bad behaviour, repent and do them no more.
