Protect Your Heart

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23
Text — Proverbs 4:20-23
Message
The heart is the organ in the human body responsible for supplying blood to all parts of the body. If the heart stops beating or working, the human being will die. Everyone takes proper care of this important organ by cultivating healthy habits that will keep it functioning well. It also serves a spiritual function in the body. It is referred to in the Bible as our spiritual centre which must be kept and protected diligently.
Your heart must be kept diligently by-
(i) confessing your sins to God in order to keep it clean (sin makes the heart dirty before God);
(ii) shutting Satan and evil thoughts out of your heart;
(iii) thinking right thoughts; it will bring right word from your mouth
(iv) meditating on God’s word always;
(v) praying always.
Be a good keeper of your heart, like a diligent security personnel will guard the premises. Do not allow the devil to sneak in through your thoughts or associations. Take responsibility for the protection of your heart. The Lord will help you.
