Message
Prayer is a very important aspect of our lives which must not be neglected. Some children do not know how to pray, some do not like to pray while some enjoy praying. Our prayer must not be centred on ourselves and families alone. We must pray for other people; this is called intercession -the Bible encourages us to do this always.
Who are we to pray for? Our leaders, both political and spiritual. Political leaders are the President, State Governors, Parliamentarians, Local Government Administrators, Head of Schools, Teachers and others who administer rule in the society. Why? So that we can live a quiet and peaceable life. When we pray for them, God gives them the wisdom to do things right in our society and we are happy.
Spiritual leaders are the General Superintendent/ Overseers, State, Region, National Overseers, Missionaries, Group and District pastors, Children church and Sunday school leaders and teachers. We should pray for these categories so that they can be led by the Spirit of God and be able to lead the congregation of God’s people in the right direction. You must make it a point of duty to pray for leaders.
