Parental Prayers.
Tuesday, March 21, 2023Key Verse
“That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace” (Psalms 144:12).
Text — Psalms 144:7-12
Message
The prayer in our memory verse today was written by a concerned parent. Many parents in Bible and contemporary times said prayers that transformed the lives of their children. In his book, The Power of a Praying Parent, Stormie Omartian says, “When we pray, we bring that power to bear upon everything we are praying about, and we allow the power of God to work through our powerlessness.”
This implies that through prayer, parents can bring the power, wisdom, and knowledge of God to bear upon the situations affecting their children. Before Samuel was born, his mother, Hannah prayed for and dedicated him to God. He became a great leader. Susannah Wesley also prayed one hour a day for each of her 17 children. No wonder two of them, John and Charles, became mighty instruments in God’s hand.
Youths should provide an atmosphere at home for their parents to pray without distractions. The Wesley children allowed their mother to focus on her prayers. Prayer is a spiritual bulwark against the forces of darkness. Endeavor to participate in family devotion, where your father ministers to the household.

Prayer for today
My God, let my life encourage my parents to pray and praise you.
Generally when children make their parents
happy, they are prone to release blessings
on the children…
Prayers for our children are indeed so valuable, with their immediate and potential effort unquantifiable. God continually make me a prayer(some one who prays). Amen
