Never Alone
Sunday, January 22, 2023Memory Verse
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20
Text: Matthew 28:16-20
Jesus Christ came into the world to save mankind from damnation in hell fire. He shed His blood on the cross at Calvary to pay the price for man’s redemption because Adam (the first man) and Eve his wife sold mankind into sin. Jesus came as a baby and grew up in Nazareth. He started preaching the kingdom of God and the plan to take man back into a loving relationship with God. Many people (the Jews) did not like Him and they were not ready to listen to His teachings and even planned to kill Him.
Jesus did not loose focus of His reason for coming into the world – to show man the way back to God. He chose some men (twelve disciples) to go with Him on His preaching journeys. At the appointed time, He was ready to lay down His life – He was crucified on the cross at Calvary. His eleven disciples (Judas Iscariot, the twelfth one, had betrayed Christ and killed himself), became afraid to continue the preaching. Jesus appeared to them and reassured them that they were not alone. He was with them always as they went preaching God’s kingdom. He is still giving us the assurance if we would go to preach and not be afraid.
Men and women, young and old; boys and girls of all nations need to hear the gospel message. Do not be afraid, you are never alone, Jesus goes with you everywhere as you preach the kingdom of God. You will be successful and God will bring many souls into His kingdom through you as you obey.
