Key Verse
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
Text — Isaiah 40:27-31
Message
Victory in life’s endeavours cannot be gained without a contest; this signifies that one has a price to pay for success. We ought to note that there is need for everyone desiring the best in life to be patient with God. Having “wings as eagles” helps us accomplish our difficult tasks. The strength of the eagle cannot be underrated as it creates quality time to refresh for the altitude it attains.
Many youths today do not wait upon the Lord rather they resort to using human effort which often ends in disappointment and frustration. There are numerous biblical characters who waited patiently on God and their desired victory came afterwards. Jesus, our perfect example, waited in prayers and received the strength for His earthly ministry. Jacob wrestled with the Angel of the Lord till the day dawn and had his name changed. Job said, “…all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come” (Job 14:14). When we wait upon the Lord in prayer of faith, He blesses us with His divine help.
