Message
A mission statement is defined as an action-based statement that declares the purpose and goals of an important project. A mission statement is used by many people and organizations to clarify their purpose and goals. They use it to clearly state what they do, how they intend to do it, and what they hope to accomplish in life. Our mission statement as Christians is the one summary statement that best describes the purpose of our existence on earth and the goal of our Christian experiences.
The passage discusses the personal mission statement of Paul the Apostle. Paul was a man who knew exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. He recognized his personal mission, which should be the personal mission of every Christian. Knowing Jesus Christ, experiencing His power, and identifying with His suffering should be the focus of our mission statement. We will embrace God’s will and plans for our lives once we begin walking with Him in faith and obeying the truth of the gospel. God will direct our steps and future, enable us do His will and be a part of His plan to spread the gospel and save souls. Every aspect of our lives will be used to glorify God.
