Mind Your Own Business

Key Verse

“Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?  follow thou me” (John 21:22).

Text — John 21:20-25

Message

A common trait among young people is known as ‘poke-nosing.’ They look and comment on others lifestyles, study hours, dressing style, and so on. Most times they think little about themselves, and the kind of impact they make on others looking at them. At other times they forsake godliness to copy satanic models who themselves are wishing they could be delivered from their wrongs ways.

Beloved, do you mind your own business? In our text, Peter looked at John, the beloved disciple of Jesus. He asked the Master, “What shall this man do?” Peter had been given his duty by Christ as he was about to go to heaven. He tried to find out what role He had for John to play. Jesus’ reply to Peter indicates that we must focus on our work and not be overtly concerned about that of others. Remember, He earlier said, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” (John 4: 34). Be focused on eternal gains.
