Key Verse
“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” John 3:7
Text — John 3:5-7
Message
There was a man who was feared by everyone. He was very cruel and wicked to the people of God. He hated everyone that calls on the name of Jesus. He went from place to place looking for the followers of Christ. He took delight in killing them and those he could not kill he put in prison. All the priests of his religion and his friends hailed him for his evil works. But one day, Jesus met him on the way as he was going to a faraway town to arrest Jesus’ friends. Jesus called him by his name and he called Jesus, Lord, for the first time. That meeting with Jesus changed his whole life. His name was Saul, who later became Paul. People who knew him before could not believe that such an evil fellow could be turned into a new man by the mercy of God.
There is something marvelous about the new life in Jesus.
There is no experience in life that can bring such a divine change upon a person. The changes that come on a child that is born again cannot be hidden. Such a child becomes a “wonder” to his family members, neighbors, and friends. The bad things he used to do, he will do them no more. Are you born again? Have you turned away from all your bad ways? You can pray and repent of your sins now. Then your life will become marvelous.
