Key Verse
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:39).
Text — Matthew 22:34-40
Message
Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” is the second great commandment. Loving God with our whole being is the greatest. To Love God and man requires genuine salvation and faith in Christ. Love your neighbor as yourself, means you’re determined to seek the best interest of others because you delight in God. It means love for my neighbor equals love for me.
In loving your neighbor, there won’t be hatred, bullying, oppression, fighting, vengeance, and backbiting; rather, there’ll be kindness, patience, truthfulness, politeness, forgiveness, and humility. It means you won’t hurt your neighbor or take whatever belongs to him forcefully, just the way you don’t want such hurt inflicted on you. Imagine a world where everyone loves their neighbor as themselves!
There would be no fighting, school shooting, rape, and kidnap incidents in our communities. That would be a peaceful society. If you desire this kind of world, then let your little light shine. Be a neighbor who is ready to love all around you. Let Jesus come into your heart and you can show true love.
