Key Verse
“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were” (Romans 4:17).
Text – Romans 4:13-18
Message
The faith – based life believes God without questioning. That was the kind of faith of Abraham when he got a call from God to go to a strange land. That was equally the kind of faith that took Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to the burning fiery furnace. God did not disappoint any of them. “You can judge the faith of an individual by what he does at the time of his greatest need, when he must either run, surrender or fight,” says W. Clement Stone.
The faith-based life affects all aspects of our lives, be it health, finance, education, career or the way and extent to which we worship the Almighty God. It frees us from worry. However, it requires total trust in God and confiding in His Word. Hebrews 11: 6 puts it succinctly that, “But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” What a privilege to live by faith!
