Key Verse
“Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:” 1 Peter 3:8
Text — 1 Peter 3:8-12
Message
To be courteous means to be respectful to everyone even if he is a stranger. Agatha was the envy of everyone in her school because she was very respectful and obedient to her teachers and seniors. One faithful day, an inspector from the education board visited the school and it was during the short break period. He met Agatha along the way who was courteous to him. She joyfully showed him the direction to the head teacher’s office and left with a smile on her face. The inspector commended her in the presence of the head teacher.
Learn to be courteous like Agatha. Do not deprive others of love, respect and care. Be like Samuel, Timothy, Isaac, Joseph, Deborah and Esther in the Bible who were obedient and courteous. A respectful child will be commended by God and men, but a stubborn and disrespectful child will receive rebuke and punishment. Make it your duty to respect as many people that come across your way today and you shall receive commendation.
