“But ye have not so learned Christ:” Ephesians 4:20
Text: Ephesians 4:20-24.
Everything everybody knows comes through learning. The strange thing about learning is that we can never stop it. There are millions of institutions of learning all over the world. Aside the secular learning places, people are learning so much from the environments they live in. Technology has helped so much in our learning process. We can now learn the way of life of people far away from us just by pressing buttons. People often say “ignorance is more expensive than learning” That means someone who refuses to learn will hurt himself for his lack ofknowledge.
However, some of the things we learn can be very harmful to our physical and spiritual wellbeing. For instance, it is very dangerous to learn sinful habits from an ungodly person. Our text tells us who we should learn from – He is Jesus Christ. Those sinful conducts of lying, stealing, cheating, fighting, having immoral friends and watching bad film are not from Christ. Whatsoever and whosoever does not encourage you to be righteous, holy and loving like Christ must be strongly resisted and rejected. You can learn from Christ through diligent study and meditating on God’s word.
