Jesus- The Good Shepherd

Key Verse

“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:11

Text — John 10: 1- 14

Message

A shepherd is someone who takes care of his sheep and ensure they are properly guided. When they try to go astray, he will redirect them to the right path. Jesus declares in our key verse that He is the good Shepherd. This declaration shows Jesus’ tender and devoted care for His friends. He is caring and loving. The greatest mark of Christ as our good Shepherd is His willingness to die for His sheep. His death on the cross saves His sheep from eternal suffering in hell fire.

Are you a sheep under Jesus, the good Shepherd? If your answer is yes, then you are sure to enjoy His bountiful care, mercy, love, grace and every good thing that you desire. But, if you are still a sinner, your life is open to attack from Satan and his false prophets. Now the door is still open for you to become a sheep under the Shepherd fold of Jesus. All you need is to realize yourself as a sinner.

Confess your sins to God. Ask Him to forgive and cleanse your heart with His blood. Ask Jesus to come into your heart to be your Saviour and Shepherd.
