Key Verse
“My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber” (Psalms 121:2, 3).
Text — Psalms 121:1-8
Message
The prince of preachers, C.H. Spurgeon says, “Show rich men how rich you are in your poverty when the Lord God is your helper. Show the strong man how strong you are in your weakness when underneath you are the everlasting arms.” Our helper, Jehovah, the Man of war, who made all things by His Knowledge, wisdom, foresight and power, is stronger than the most powerful individual or group of people. So, who can be against you?
God is a reliable and faithful helper to those who trust in Him. Once we yield our hearts to Him, through Jesus Christ, He takes over our protection, provision and sustenance, both physical and spiritual. Thus, the people that do know their God shall, indeed, be strong, and do exploits (Daniel 11:32). Young Daniel proved this eternal truth while in Babylon’s captivity; he maintained his devotion to God at the time that it was unlawful to do so in Babylon. It landed him in the lions’ den but he came out unscathed. You too can discover this hidden treasure and, by it, excel above your fellows.
