Isaac On The Altar.

Key Verse

“And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.” Genesis 22:9

Text — Genesis 22:1-13

Message

God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his only son who was very dear to him. Abraham obeyed God without arguing because he knew He is the Almighty Who can do all things. Have you ever wondered what Isaac felt or did when he realized he was to be sacrificed? He could have just simply kicked Abraham, pushed him off, or try to fight back. But, like his father, he believed in the supremacy and sovereignty of God.
How surrendered are you to God? Do you trust Him enough to know He has the best for you in every situation?

Just like Abraham, Isaac also was willing to let go of his pride, his position as the heavenly ordained heir, and the lands and possessions he was due to inherit. He laid on the altar in total surrender. You need to surrender your will, position, talents, gifts, and whatsoever makes you feel superior to others at the feet of Jesus. Never argue or struggle with the will and word of God. Surrender your all to Him on the altar of sacrifice.
