Memory Verse
“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” Psalm 139:7
Text: Psalm 139:7-12
God sees everyone, every time and everywhere – He is Omnipresent. Even when it looks like everything is dark and hopeless, God knows about it. The three Hebrew youngsters – Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego proved it when the king of Babylon threw them into a burning fiery furnace. They had been told to bow to a golden image or be thrown into a huge fire made at the king’s order. They chose the fire instead of bowing to the image. They were not consumed by the fire because God was with them.
Daniel also was told not to pray to the God of heaven but to make requests from the earthly King Nebuchadnezzar. He chose to pray to God while the windows of his house were opened. In annoyance at his disobedience, the king ordered that Daniel be thrown into the lion’s den and it was done. He was however, not hurt by the ferocious animals – God’s eyes were on Daniel and the lions became his friend instead of hurting him.
As God is watching over you so no harm can come upon you because He is jealously guarding you so also He sees any evil you may plan to do. Do not think, plan or do evil; avoid all forms of sin and unholy actions and associations. God will continue to keep His protective eyes on you. Remember that God’s eyes are on you always, do not join a multitude to do evil.
