Key Verse
“The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up” (1 Samuel 2:7).
Text — 1 Samuel 2:7-9
Message
To reverse is to turn something around. While setbacks or challenges may be unavoidable, we have a God who specializes in turning things around in our favour. Our attitude in any situation determines our progress, stagnation or regression. Setbacks can be stepping stones to greater heights in life. “There is nothing as exciting as a comeback – seeing someone with dreams, watching them fail, and then getting a second chance,” said Rachel Griffiths. Remember, ‘Dry bones shall rise again.’
We shall celebrate victory as we shall receive answers to all our prayers. Consequent upon Hannah’s victory through prayer, she sang,“He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory…” Hannah, by her song, testified to God’s ability to reverse setbacks. Surprisingly, instead of praying, many believers forget God in their problems. They put their confidence in men and end up in more problems. It is time to work hard and seek God, who will reverse your situation and put songs in your mouth.
