Text — Job 42:10-17
Message
Tony Evans rightly stated that, “Comebacks don’t seem likely when your back is up against the wall and your hope is depleted. But if you will stay the course, you will discover God’s power to reverse the irreversible in your life.” That was how Job moved from setback to comeback. There is no better way to test a man’s integrity and love for God than during his travail. Job’s steadfast stand at the peak of the problem remains a challenge to Christians today. Though he lived a pure life,Job lost his children, great wealth, a successful business, and many servants; but he kept his integrity.
Job’s case was pathetic, but the Lord was in perfect control of everything. He went through the trial and came out as gold. He said, “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold”(Job 23:10). We mustn’t abandon God during trials and temptations. God reversed Job’s setbacks. He was healed, given twice as much possessions as before his ordeal, and lived many more years.
