“God Calls Jeremiah”

Key Verse

“The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin: To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign” (Jeremiah 1:1,2).

Text — Jeremiah 1:1-4

Message

Jeremiah was called as a teenager when he was 14 years old to go and proclaim God’s message. As at that time, idolatry and other sins were prevailing just like in our time today. Jeremiah was to assist Josiah in the work of reformation (2 Kings 23:1-25). He was righteous, obedient and courageous. The assignment of soul winning is for all believers. The level of moral decadence around us calls for all to be involved in evangelism. Christian youths must reach out to bring revival in the land for their generation because they are waiting for their manifestation (Romans 8:19).

Your response must be without delay. God knows you can do it through the help of the Holy Spirit. Sinners must not be allowed to perish without giving them warning from God. You must also avoid the risk of their blood being required from your hands (Ezekiel 3:18, 20; 1 Corinthians 7:29). There are different ways to reach sinners with the gospel. We can use the social media, Christian literature or direct contacts. However, you must be born-again, obedient and courageous like Jeremiah.

Quote
