Key Verse
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” Exodus 14:15
Text — Exodus 14:10-16
Message
The children of Israel were at a point where they were between the Red sea and Pharaoh the enemy; and the first thing on their mind was to cry out unto Moses. Meanwhile, Moses in turn cried unto God and God was saying instead of crying, “go forward”. What this means is, make a move and take action. Moses obeyed all the instructions that God gave him. He told the children of Israel not to fear. He also assured them that the Egyptians they saw that day, they would see them no more forever. As he lifted up his rod towards the sea, it parted and they moved on to victory.
When some children are faced with challenges, instead of praying to God, they cry to their parents, uncles, aunties or friends; all they do is to cry. The Lord is encouraging you through His word that instead of crying unto anybody, cry unto Him and He will answer you. He said, “Call upon me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you.” The solution to every need or challenge is in God. Man will fail you, but God cannot fail. However, you need to take the first step of surrendering your life to Him and making Him your Friend. Then, you can call on Him at any time and He will answer you.
