Key Verse
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:32).
Text — Ephesians 4:30-32
Message
To forgive means to pardon; to waive any negative feeling or desire for punishment, retaliation, or compensation. You forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness but because it is godly and it brings peace. The brethren of Joseph did evil to him, but he forgave them. He said to them; “Now therefore fear you not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them” (Genesis 50:21).
Jesus left His throne above and came to the earth to save and to forgive us our sins. In Mark 11:25 the Scripture says, “And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” If you harbor malice or hatred in your heart, your prayers cannot be answered.
Beloved, if there are school mates, fellow Christians and other people you hate because they offended you, you have to forgive them before it is too late because if the rapture or death occurs in that condition, you will regret it.
