Follow The Right Path

Text — Proverbs 21:21-29
Message
What we have at the end of the way depends on the path we followed. How foolish it is for someone to set out on a journey, following the wrong direction. Though he may spend time, effort and money, yet he will never arrive at his destination. There are many people who follow after evil, that is, practice wickedness, violence and all kinds of evil then expect to find peace and pleasure at the end. Can you imagine a patient who rejects the doctor’s instructions? His end is pain and death. The right path to follow is the path of righteousness and mercy according to our key verse.
Do you desire to live long and have peace all your years on earth? Then pray and follow the right path; follow after righteousness and mercy. Make conscious effort to think, say and do what is right and just everywhere you go. You are to desire, thirst and hunger for righteousness and be merciful to everyone around you. That is when you will live a meaningful life. It is righteousness alone that can bring you honour before God and man and prepare you to live with Jesus in Heaven for ever.
