Key Verse
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing acording to his will, he heareth us:” 1 John 5:14
Text — 1 John 5:13-15
Message
Felix was good at playing saxophone. The more he practised, the better he became. He represented his school in different music competitions and came out the best. After some times, he became lazy. He stopped practicing and playing his saxophone regularly. Overtime, he could not play very well again. He lost some skills and could not compete well again. Just like Felix in the story, you would likely lose what you don’t use or exercise.
Just as physical exercise helps our muscles to grow stronger, so also does exercising and putting our faith to work helps our faith in God to grow and become stronger. To exercise faith, a sinner must first repent and believe in Jesus as his/her Saviour and Lord. As a friend of Jesus, don’t be satisfied with salvation. There is still more. Believe and pray to God for purity of heart (sanctification) and Holy Ghost baptism. Whenever you pray and ask God for anything that agrees with His word, believe God for the answer irrespective of the present situation. Of all the Apostles that were in the ship, it was only Peter that experienced the miracle of walking on water because he exercised his faith. Get ready and start to exercise your faith.

Prayer for today
Dear Father, please help me to always believe your word and act on it.
Growing Faith entails
Praising God for his past goodness in our lives.
Believing Him for the present and
Surrendering the future into His care.
Take your burdens to the Lord and leave it there while God takes care of them.
May God help the foot stepsof our father, our mentor, teacher, evangelist and prophet of of our time in Jesus name.
