Key Verse
“And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.” Genesis 33:4
Text — Genesis 33: 1-5
Message
Jacob who ran away because of what he did to his brother was now on his way back home. He became afraid, unsure of what his brother would do, Jacob spent time alone to pray to God. He had to wrestle in prayer all night until he received the assurance of answer to his prayers. He now received confidence to face his brother Esau. Through Jacob’s prayer, God dealt with Esau and placed within him the desire for reconciliation with his brother. Esau now showed loving and friendly attitude towards Jacob his twin-brother.
Forgiveness is good and must be employed in our day-to-day interactions in the family, school, church and community. Do you need to forgive someone who has hurt you? Or you need forgiveness from someone you have hurt? Why not take a moment and tell God to intervene on your behalf? You will never remain the same again.
