Key Verse

“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Genesis 1:29

Text — Genesis 1:27-31

Message

Eddy likes to eat a lot. It appears he’s always chewing something anytime you see him. From the time he wakes up, as soon as he brushes his teeth, he has something to chew. He likes to chew bubble gum, eat candy, chocolate, cookies, doughnuts, cakes, pies and all sorts of sugar-filled drinks most of the time. Although his mum cooks vegetables and makes fruits available both at home and in his lunch box for school, Eddy always makes excuses for not eating them. It was not a surprise therefore when he started complaining of serious tummy ache and eventually had to be admitted in the hospital. The doctor told him he had to eat right to be healthy. He was told to do away with junks and eat balanced diet for a healthy lifestyle.

As it is necessary to eat right to stay physically fit, so does God want us to be spiritually strong. To be spiritually healthy, you need to read your Bible and pray every day. Avoid bad company and habits like keeping malice, fighting, watching ungodly movies or cartoons, playing unproductive games etc. God wants us to be in health but we also have a role to play. Avoid junks, eat healthy!
