Memory Verse
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ve shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
Text: Jeremiah 29:11-14
The “Hide-and-Seek” is a popular game among children. The game is played by one chosen player, with eyes closed counting to a fixed number, while the other players hide. After reaching this number, the player shouts “Ready or not, here I come!”, and then attempts to locate all hiding players. The game ends with joy when the seeker finds the last person. Sometimes, the last person may be too hard to find except he reveals himself to the Seeker. Our Bible passage shows us that it is easier to find God than locating a playmate in a Hide and Seek Game.
In fact, He always looks out for you to come to Him because He has good plans for you and to give you peace. It is as simple as just calling upon Him where you are, or going apart to a place convenient for you to pray unto Him. Verse 13 of our Bible passage shows that when you search for God with all your heart or with the attitude of a person ready for the answer, you will find Him. When you need power to overcome sinful habits, deliverance from depression, grace to change anything in your life from bad to good, true and lasting peace, ability to know and fulfill God’s purpose for your life, the best place to go is to the Lord Himself. Jesus says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) He is as close as the mention of His name.
