Key Verse
“And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.” John 18:25
Text — John 18:25-27
Message
Peter was a disciple who was privileged to be close to Jesus than most of the disciples. He did well to follow Jesus in His moment of trouble. While Jesus was before Caiaphas, the high priest and the other Jewish leaders inside the building, Peter sat in the courtyard, waiting anxiously. When he was recognized as a follower of Jesus, he denied ever having any association with Him. Not only once, he disowned Jesus again and again, even with an oath. Thank God that Peter realized his sins and wept bitterly.
Many children who profess to be Christians are denying Christ daily. They only stand for Jesus in private and not in public. When you deny Jesus, you are showing fearfulness. Are you afraid to talk about Jesus in public places like your school? Do you feel ashamed to associate with people of God? Boldly tell people I’m a Christian.
Cherish Christ everywhere and at all times. Jesus Christ is not only all you need but all you have. Remember that Jesus died for you in public so, declare your love for Him everywhere you go. Peach the love of Jesus to sinners and do not be afraid of suffering for Christ’s sake. Read and meditate on the Word of God to know more about Jesus and so you can stand firm for Him. Always live a life that brings glory to God.
