Key Verse
“And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:” 1 Kings 9:4
— 1 Kings 9:1-7
Message
Suppose there is a high school in your town that you love so much and would like to attend. You love the school compound, the buildings, the classrooms, their teaching methods, conducts of the students attending that school; in fact, you love everything about the school except their uniform. You do not like the colour of their uniform because it is white; you prefer a brown colour. The question is this: Can they allow you to attend that school as a student without wearing the school uniform? The answer is NO.
Wearing the school uniform is one of the conditions of being a student of that school. If you must attend, you must wear the uniform.
God has a lot of blessings for boys and girls as He had for Solomon. But there is a condition to be fulfilled: “And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:.” (1 Kings 9:4) This condition is still the same today. The first act of obedience is to be born again as Jesus told Nicodemus. The salvation experience gives you the power to be obedient in all other areas. This will open the door of blessings for you. Are you ready for God’s bountiful blessings? Surrender your heart to Jesus Christ to day and receive the power to be obedient.
