Text — Mark 6:30-33
Message
Break is something we are very familiar with in our schools, either the short break for snacks\play or the long break for lunch\play. Holiday time also is a period of break from every academic activity. It is very necessary to help us have a balanced and healthy life. A break is a discontinuation of an activity to get rest and vitality in order to function more effectively. As there is need for break from physical or academic activity so also in the spiritual, we must break to refuel our lamps so that we don’t burn out.
Our Lord Jesus Christ saw the need for the disciples to break off from their activities and renew their strength. After labouring in preaching, evangelizing, visiting, singing, counselling etc., there is also a need to sit down and be taught, spend time in prayers, meditate, take stock of our lives through self-examination and pattern our lives more after the Saviour. It is important to break from all worldly activities in order to seek God and be refreshed. Spend such times to pray, fast, read and study your Bible, memorize Bible verses, sing songs of praise to God, meditate on God’s word and be obedient to God’s instruction. Your life will be revived and refreshed.

Prayer for today
Dear Father, please give me wisdom to know when to do away with activities that can hinder me from seeking after You.
