Key Verse
“Moreover they reckoned not with the men, into whose hand they delivered the money to be bestowed on workmen: for they dealt faithfully.” 2 Kings 12:15
Text — 2 Kings 12:11-15
Message
Faithfulness is the quality of unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or to a course. Honesty on the other hand is an act of being truthful and fair. The attributes of honesty include integrity, truthfulness, uprightness, trustworthiness, fairness and sincerity.
Faithfulness and honesty are two important qualities required of every child of God. Faithfulness calls us to keep our commitment, to be trustworthy and act honourably.
Today’s text gives an account of faithfulness and honesty of the leaders appointed over the workers who were repairing the house of God during the reign of Jehoash, the king of Judah. They were not called to give accounts of their spending because they acted faithfully and honestly. All believers are called to be faithful in all matters, whether big or small. What you do reveals your character. People who are faithful, who keep their word, who act honourably, will do so no matter the situation. Be a honest child and speak the truth always, even if you will suffer for it. Be faithful in doing your daily Bible reading, praying and meditating on God’s word.
