Memory Verse
“Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city” (Acts 18:9).
Text: Acts 12:9-17.
An ambassador is an important official who represents his or her country in a foreign land. A story was told of a Missionary whom God used to evangelize an ethnic group practicing cannibalism. He was invited to a dinner by the President of that country. On his arrival, he found himself amidst ambassadors from various nations and felt out of place among them. Suddenly, the Lord reminded him of his status as His ambassador, hence the most important personality in their midst. Immediately, he regained his confidence and dignity. This should encourage Christian youths.
As Christ was with Paul in Corinth to assure Him of His presence and protection, so is He with us today. Christian youths are Christ’s ambassadors. He wants to use you to draw unbelieving youths to Himself thereby escaping God’s impending judgement. Are you in a difficult environment? Are you facing persecution? Whatever is your challenge, Jesus assures you of His presence. If Joseph could prosper in Egypt, and Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego could attract glory to God in Babylon, then you can blossom where you are.
